We do your homework.
Committing to a process before the facts are clear can cost time, money and goodwill. The Pre-Assessment gives you an evidence-based view first, so your next decision is the right one to take further.
What we look at
Viability
Whether a valid business exists, and what must change for it to be viable.
Survival
How long your cash will last, what short term risks exist and how the short-term obligations should be managed
Directors responsibilities
What would happen in a turnaround, windown and/or liquidation scenario and the resultant consequences.
Funding appetite
What type and amount of funding is needed, and what suitable financiers or equity partners would want to see, with your consent.
A clear recommendation, whichever way it points.
A pre-pack is only one possible answer. We will tell you which route looks best: no immediate action, an informal turnaround, a pre-pack, business rescue, a sale or wind-down, or liquidation.
What you receive
— Board summary with your distress level and preferred route
— Short report on viability, survival and recoverability
— Indicative creditor waterfall and liquidation estimate
— Funder and equity appetite summary, where appropriate
— Clear next steps, with likely cost and timing
Fee
R40,000 to R100,000, excluding VAT, depending on complexity.
The fee is fixed before work starts and includes asset verification. A 50% deposit is payable upfront with the remainder due on completion.
If you choose to continue to utilise a pre-pack, turnaround or restructure with us, we'll wave the completion payment.
Common questions
Is this a funding application?
No. We test appetite so you know what funders would need. It is not a request for funding.
Will funders know who we are?
Not without your written consent.
Do we have to continue with you afterwards?
No. The report is yours, and the decision stays with your board.
